Delete your Darsy account

Darsy is operated by Omar Azar, Egypt.

You can delete your Darsy account and the data that goes with it at any time. There are two ways to do it, and neither costs anything.

In the app

1. Open Darsy and sign in.
2. Go to Profile → Account → Delete account.
3. Type DELETE to confirm.

Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out on every device.

Without the app

If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, email privacy@darsyapp.com from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my Darsy account". We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours. We delete it within 30 days and reply to tell you when it is done.

A parent or guardian can make this request for a child on their account.

What is deleted

• Your profile and personal details: name, email address, phone number, date of birth, school, gender, city and district.
• Your profile photo.
• The messages and images you sent.
• Any identity document you uploaded as a tutor, and your biography and addresses.
• Your sign-in, including a link to Google or Apple.

What is kept, and for how long

• Payment and booking records are kept for seven years after the transaction, because tax and accounting rules require it. Your name is removed from them where we are able to do so.
• Reviews you wrote and reports you filed may be kept without your name, so that a tutor's rating and our safety records stay accurate.

Deletion cannot be undone. Any wallet balance is lost when the account is deleted, so ask us about it first at support@darsyapp.com.
